This is official description

DameWare NT Utilities (DNTU) is an enterprise system management application for Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008/7 which allows Administrators to go beyond the limitations of Microsoft's Management Console (MMC). DNTU provides an integrated collection of Microsoft Windows NT administration utilities, incorporated within a "easy to use" centralized interface for remote management of Windows Servers and Workstations. Most all of the standard utilities are included within DNTU's powerful Explorer-style interface, many of which have been greatly enhanced to provide superior performance, added functionality, and ease of use. DNTU also contains custom NT tools including the DameWare Mini Remote Control program and the Exporter, and also supports the use of standard shell property pages and shell context menus.

The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 6.7

DameWare NT Utilities is a suite of network management tools for Windows. This application has been in use by several IT and networks specialists by more than 5 years. I remember that back in the day, this application was the only application of its kind. What this application does is let you manage your workstations from a single application. It betters Microsoft's native support for network administration. It is comprised of a set of applications that allow you to do the most varied of tasks. For example, I used to use this for security purposes. When NT was still everywhere, this application could easily detect and security holes, so that I could fix them. It could be used for much more darker reasons, too. All the applications in this suite are designed to be relatively easy to use (networks are never easy, though), and are all located in a central, explorer-like interface. There are a bunch of great features that make the experience even better. My favorite one is a list of computers, like a favorite list, which you can use to access your commonly used computers easily.
  • Great remote administration.
  • Easy to use.
  • None.
